Assisting Senior Mechanical Officer. |
| Main Duties |
Assist the Senior Mechanical Officer in the provision of a Mechanical Inspection/Maintenance Service. This involves a significant amout of work spent working in close liaison with the appointed contractors to resolve problems linked to distribution mains and plant failures. Other key duties include the supervision (including quality checks) of the work being undertaken by the appointed cyclical maintenance contractor and condition/priority repair surveys. Out of hours support may be required. |
| Key Skills |
Ideally a minimum of 10 years experience in the supervision of all mechanical repairs and cyclical maintenance. This must relate to Local Authority type buildings i.e. Schools, Offices, Leisure Centres etc Knowledge of all the associated regulations is essential inclusive of asbestos management. Experience of undertaking condition surveys of mechanical installations would be advantageous. |
