Basic Job Description To provide information, support, assistance and advice to people in housing need, and any one else, on all available temporary and permanent housing options.
Main Duties To give housing advice about all available housing options. Investigate claims of homelessness, potential homelessness and housing need. Arrange temporary housing where required and to assist people to find appropriate and adequate accommodation. Undertake projects to prevent and reduce both homelessness and housing need. Record and investigate complaints of harassment and illegal eviction in the private rented sector.
Key Skills 2 Years Experience within Local Government working in a Benefits role
Qualification Ideally NVQ level 2 in Administration / housing or relevant field. Also previous experience
